Timpabella House is born from a childhood dream.
The great-grandparents’ big house with a central courtyard initially used as a vegetable garden and shelter for animals such as hens and rabbits and with two wells for collecting rainwater, was totally independent and a reference point for who, during post war period, was facing hard difficulties in daily life.
Through the generations of heirs some changes have been made to the house. It has been subdivided into different environments and its technical systems have been modernized compliantly with the most recent “green” solutions.
Unfortunately the two wells have been closed, but the rest of the internal courtyard today is a luxuriant garden that hosts many varieties of plants typical of the Mediterranean area.
Today we are at the fifth generation and finally the house belongs to a single heir who, by deciding to invest in a long and complex renovation, has been able to realize her dream of fully living it and also hosting friends and tourists from all over the world that can enjoy the beauties of East Sicily.
During the renovation, every effort has been made to keep the original features, in fact the perimeter structure remains intact, the wooden roof has been completely rebuilt as it was and the ancient furniture has been restored and reused.
The little girl who has always loved the house is now the owner, Rossana, who, with the great support of her husband Alessandro and children, will welcome anyone wishing to spend a few relaxing days in a place full of peace, beauty, history but also of all the comforts.
